Absolute Poker & UB Cleared to Allow US Withdraws

There might finally be some good news for U.S. players who made their online home on either Absolute Poker or UB. The two denizens of the Cereus Poker Network have long been mired in controversy and were among the sites who had their assets seize by the U.S. Department of Justice in April. These players will have been checking out a bodog poker review in anticipating of finding a new US site to play at.

It has now been announced that the DoJ and Absolute Poker have reached an agreement that would see the online poker company free to re-open U.S. withdrawals. The deal is similar to that struck by Full Tilt and the PokerStars Download last month, although only Stars have actually permitted American withdrawals at this point.

The DoJ has vowed to “provide all necessary assurances that third parties may work with Absolute Poker to facilitate the return of funds, currently held by third party processors, to players located in the U.S.”
