Former PokerStars pro Joe Hachem has become a representative for the Asian Poker Tour. Arguably Australia’s most famous poker player, he is known for winning the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2005 for $7.5 million. He then spent the next six years as a member of Team PokerStars Pro, inspiring amateur players everywhere to give up Deal or No Deal online in favor of poker.
Hachem decided to give up his status of PokerStars pro because he wanted to spend more time with his family. While he was part of Team PokerStars, he was traveling very frequently because he had to play in all sorts of big buy-in poker events.
